Sugar PR retail centre client hits 100% occupancy rate
Our PR campaign for award-winning retail centre Freeport Talke is hitting new heights as the team celebrated reaching an important 100% occupancy rate milestone.
We’ve worked with this leading retail destination since launching Sugar PR in Manchester and since then we’ve promoted all sorts of amazing marketing campaigns they’ve undertaken.
As well as promoting a dementia-friendly campaign, we’ve also been involved in Halloween, Christmas and the launch of new retail occupiers filling the centre. As well as video, photography and positive press coverage we’ve also created nice pieces of PR content which the team shares on social media channels such including Facebook where visitors are highly engaged and positive sentiment created.
PR for retail footfall
The centre is now bursting to the brim with key tenants including Nike, Sports Direct, GAP, Marks & Spencer and Mountain Warehouse.
Freeport Talke comprises of more than 130,000 sq. ft. of shopping space including 650 free parking spaces. The centre attracts more than two million visitors per year.
Originally constructed as a United Co-operatives hypermarket, Freeport Talke underwent extensive refurbishment in 1999 to convert it to an outlet centre. It was further developed in 2010 to provide new anchor stores for Home Bargains and Nike.
Supportive managing agents
A combination of excellent management at the centre, supportive managing agents and ambitious owners have now seen the centre fully occupied with a wide range of brand retailers including Nike, M&S, The Body Shop as well as some funky independent chains including this menswear store.
Retail PR coverage
It’s a pleasure working with clients like Freeport Talke who are clearly customer-led in their approach to marketing and PR. Everything the team does is engineered towards creating a positive and engaging customer experience.
To celebrate reaching 100% we produced a MASSIVE prop (pictured) which is being well received by visitors, staff and media alike. Check out this fantastic spread in the key regional business daily newspaper reaching the heart of the centre’s geo-demographic.
So, after reaching 100 per cent – where can you go next? Well, watch this space because the team at Freeport Talke have got plenty more exciting things planned for 2018.
Sue Sweatmore, centre manager of Freeport Talke, said:
We’re delighted that we’ve filled all the retail units available at Freeport Talke and we’ve now got a much coveted one hundred per cent occupancy rate.
We’re excited about the current mix of retail tenants which range from top global brands such as Nike to regional independent fashion chains like Ministry stocking brands like Superdry, Barbour and Armani.
However, we’re determined not to rest on our laurels. The retail sector in the UK is the most competitive in the world and we’ll keep innovating to always bring something new, enhance the visitor experience during 2017 and satisfy our tenants with new initiatives and campaigns.
